Leith Links and Docks improvements - make sure you have your say!

Marjorie Thomas

Liberal Democrat councillor for Leith, Marjorie Thomas

Liberal Democrats in Leith have welcomed the progress that has been made on plans for major improvements to Leith Links.

The Leith Links masterplan aims to improve existing facilities like the old tennis courts and pavilions as well as upgrades to lighting and paths. A public consultation is taking place to involve local people.

A second Seaward Extention development proposes a strip of land running from the Links through Salamander Place and eventually linking up with the Forth. This would include sports pitches, civic areas and space for allotments.

Local Liberal Democrat councillor Marjorie Thomas said, "Although these are very long term plans, it is good to see improvements planned for our local facilities. It is important that local people make their views known during the consultation."
