Scottish Liberal Democrats publish a positive programme for action4.06.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Wed 11th Apr 2007
Scottish Liberal Democrats have set out a positive programme of action for Scotland - month by month for the whole of 2007. It will mean more police recruited, action to tackle climate change, a more positive role for young people in Scotland. All of these decisions can be taken, and work started, this year to get things done. Our priority is to get things done on crime reduction, better education, more local health care and climate change in 2007. In seven months we will have set the foundation for a bright future for Scotland. The current political climate offers the Liberal Democrats an unparalleled opportunity. All the evidence suggests that the voters are turned off by the negative squabbling which Labour and the SNP have engaged in. People are increasingly moving to support the Liberal Democrats and our positive vision for Scotland. While the other parties fight each other, we will fight for Scotland. We will bring a pace and a dynamic that will leave the other parties behind and take a great stride forward for Scotland's future. That is why we should be confident about our strong campaign, aiming to lead Scotland. We have the policies that will make a real difference. And, alone amongst the parties, we will get things done in 2007. Every vote for the Liberal Democrats is a vote for positive change on May 3rd and in Edinburgh North & Leith, every vote for Liberal Democrat Mike Crockart is a vote that counts.
