Elaine Morris wants to hear from residents in Trinity and Wardie about possible controlled parking.

Recent reports in the media have suggested that Edinburgh City Council plans to extend the controlled parking zone (CPZ) to include Trinity and Wardie.

This would mean that local residents would have to purchase permits of £80 every year to park their vehicles on the street.

Liberal Democrat council candidate and Trinity resident, Elaine Morris wants to hear what you think about the proposal.

She said, "It seems as though it is only a matter of time before our community of Trinity and Wardie become the next areas to suffer from commuter parking. However, I believe it is important to listen to local people before any final decisions are taken.

"The Labour council has come in for much criticism for the botched way it extended CPZs to places like Broughton and Morningside and I know many local residents are concerned about similar mistakes being made in our area.

"I am keen to hear from local people as to whether they think CPZ is the best way to ensure that local residents can park near their own homes."
