Forth Lib Dem campaigner Elaine Morris is campaigning against bogus callers.

Local Liberal Democrats, Elaine Morris (Forth ward) and Louise Lang (Leith Walk ward) have launched a new campaign to help beat crime in their local communities.

They want a crack down on BOGUS CALLERS who try and gain entry into homes.

They have been distributing special editions of FOCUS newsletters, which include a special notice card which residents can cut out and stick on or next to your door.

It warns callers that they will not buy or sell at the door, and tells them that IDENTIFICATION is required that can be verified.

Forth ward campaigner, Elaine Morris said, "With the darker nights, I know that people in are more wary about opening their doors to strangers. Bogus callers and fraudsters generally prey on the vulnerable. However, by looking out for ourselves and each other, we can all help make to make our homes and the area as a whole, safer."

Leith Walk Lib Dem, Louise Lang added, ""We've also put the number for the local police on the back of the card so if people have concerns, they know who to phone."
